Production
Once I had finished my pre-production, I went straight into production. Altogether, for my parts, I had 3 shots and 2 locations. Over 3 days of the dedicated production time, under my direction, I and Milo went to these locations to complete the shoots. Production is extremely important to the project as its the stage in which you gather all the required material to complete the project in post.
Shoot 1
Over the course of this shoot, I decided to shoot in chronological order as it made sense logistically however it may actually end up being a good thing, as documentaries are also shot in chronological order most likely so in a way it kind of makes sense.

This means that our first shoot was for the intro scene, to do this we went to my Grandad's garage where we shot the first few shots then we moved over to my Grandad's house where we filmed the interior house shots whilst he is holding the picture frame.
We also decided to capture the foley on set so that we didn't have to rent the microphone more than we had to. Luckily for most of the intro, there was not much use of foley apart from the first couple of shots.
Although it wasn't a typical approach to foley it came out pretty good and worked with the video, I think in the future tho if I was to do this again with the microphone for longer, I would opt to go for a more traditional approach to foley where it is recorded afterward. However, i feel like the way that we chose worked well for the genre of the short film we created.
Shoot 2
For the second shoot, we filmed in a place called Flyfeild Down just outside of Marlborough, for this shoot, I managed to get a hold of a guy that owned a pickup truck through someone in my class to be involved in our production!

On the day of the shoot, it turned out to be quite hot so it was essential for all cast and crew to have access to water. In the end, the shoot only took about 30mins as it was the most planned, mainly because it was the most complex with the moving vehicle.

The camera work overall was very shaky and 'rushed' on purpose, mainly because we wanted it to look like found footage from a documentary so that also took a lot of time off as we didn't need to worry about setting up cameras so much.
Shoot 3
Shoot 3 was another short shoot which only took about 20 mins to film my parts as I only needed to get chuck to say a couple of lines. This then acted as the ending to the film. In post I will create a short slide show of what the characters are doing now.
