Week 6

This is the second week of production and the first time I got to film. This week I decided to get all my intro scenes done so I could start to put together a rough cut which helped me get a feeling of what the final product would look like. This wasn't only helpful in figuring out what shots I had/missed but also gave me some motivation to carry on. Here is some BTS:
We also decided to capture the foley on set so that we didn't have to rent the microphone more than we had to. Luckily for most of the intro, there was not much use of foley apart from the first couple of shots.
Although it wasn't a typical approach to foley it came out pretty good and worked with the video, I think in the future tho if I was to do this again with the microphone for longer, I would opt to go for a more traditional approach to foley where it is recorded afterward. However, i feel like the way that we chose worked well for the genre of the short film we created.
